Payments for boards are due in full before the order will be placed with manufacturer.
Written approval (via e-mail or text message) is required for artwork to be finalized on your order.
Due to being custom items, boards are non-refundable and not returnable.
How long does it take to get a board? As soon as payment for the board is received and you approve final proof artwork, we place the order. Custom board orders take a minimum average of 14-18 business days after artwork is submitted before they ship out, as they are custom built at our vendor, and shipped directly to the customer. We will notify you when the order ships and provide tracking information. Holidays or other delays with shipping such as material-shortages are often out of our control but we will keep you informed. Other products such as stall signs, farm signs, etc, will have additional turnaround time. Please inquire at the time of your quote/order.
How does the design process work? Once your order is placed, you can send us an e-mail or use our Layout Order/Quote Form If you are unsure about what you want, we can set up a phone call or discuss through e-mail, what your needs/ideas are and offer our professional suggestions on a layout and design. You may already know exactly what you want, which is great! You can send over a list, picture of a rough sketch, whatever you would like, along with information such as color(s), how many rows/columns, titles, and if you have a logo file to include (high resolution JPEG, PNG, Vector, or PDF files needed). You must have permission to use any logo files or artwork sent. Aristo Marketing LLC dba Grey Pony Designs is not responsible or liable for any graphics used without permission.
The first round of artwork for you to view can typically be done within 7 business days of our team receiving all necessary information, such as decided layout, colors, a logo file (if needed). Up to 3 revisions included (example: change of overall layout, number of rows or columns, re-design. Simple edits like color or spacing things out are included. Revisions beyond this will be billed at $25/hour for actual time.
We do require payment to place/commit to an order before we begin a layout/proof.
Do you accept returns or refunds? Due to these being custom items, they are not able to be returned or refunded, unless lost/damaged during shipping. All artwork must be approved in writing before the boards are made, so be sure everything is correct such as phone numbers, etc, before you approve the final artwork.
What happens if my board is lost or damaged in shipping? Should the board be damaged during shipping, please document at the time of arrival in order for a claim to be put in with UPS/Freight Carrier. Replacements or refunds are only applicable if done via a claim through the shipping company for damages. Freight orders you will be e-mailed instructions for delivery.
What are the boards made from? Can I hang them? Can they be used outdoors? These boards are custom printed onto a dry-erase material that can come either magnetic (or non-magnetic), with an aluminum frame and marker tray. Due to the quality of these custom boards, they are quite heavy compared to the blank generic dry-erase boards you are used to buying in-stores.
Our custom boards under 30" can be permanently mounted or hung, as they come with installed D-Ring hooks at either corner. You can purchase picture-hanging wire or picture-hanging chain from your local hardware store if you wish to hang them temporarily such as at horse-shows. We can also have two small hooks added to the top of boards under 45" to hang from. Boards over 30" come with permanent mounting hardware on the back installed by the manufacturer unless you request hanging hooks at the top to be installed. We have had clients install their own picture hanging d-ring hooks + wire/chain with 1/4" screws attached to the framing, to hang them temporarily at horse-shows. If you have questions about hanging boards over 30", we recommend asking prior to ordering to ensure the boards will work for you.
These boards are not recommended to be used outside directly in the elements, however some customers have used them outside for short periods of time such as at horse shows where they may get rained on or sprayed from a hose and they are able to withstand the occasional wear and tear from mother nature.
How do the Vinyl Stickers or Magnet Sheets work? The vinyl peel-n-stick boards are vinyl "stickers" of a professional quality dry-erase material with your design printed on the white-board. The reverse side has a semi-permanent adhesive. You can apply to your existing 23" x 36" white boards, or any smooth, flat surface! Use to replace your existing board. Once applied, you may not be able to remove from the surface it has adhered to without damage. To install, best results are when using a wet application method with squeegee to eliminate any air bubbles.
The dry-erase magnet is professionally printed on a dry-erase white board front with magnetic on the underside. You can apply to your existing 23" x 36" magnetic white boards or flat magnetic surface. Use to replace your existing board at a fraction of the cost if you do not need to replace the entire board itself. The best part is you can move it as needed, swapping out your white-board design as needed. Create a dry-erase surface anywhere a 24" x 36" magnet will fit!
Can I pick a different frame or use my own? Due to the material and way the layers are held together, we cannot take the frames off or change them to wood options at this time. These boards are not made like the generic white-boards you can find in stores, where the "frame" just slides off. These are meant to last a long time and made with secure framing. We have had clients in the past take the framing off and use their own wooden frame, however it is not recommended as you could damage the edges of the board or cause wrinkles in the corners. Instead, we can order the board without a marker-tray and you could attach your own wooden frame on top of the metal frame that holds the layers together.
Care for Your New Board
How to clean your board: It is not recommended to clean these boards with anything containing ammonia which is found in most glass cleaners, so put the Windex away! They can be cleaned with Isopropyl Alcohol as needed. We recommend Microfiber cleaning cloths, or any soft cloth rag. Do not use any type of scrubbing sponge or bristle erasers on the writing surface, or magnets with sharp edges (such as metal clip magnets) or scratches/damage may occur! ONLY use Dry-Erase Markers to write on the surface. Do not use permanent markers, pens, pencils, or kids markers.
How to transport between horse shows: When traveling to shows, it is recommended to wrap the boards in a large blanket or towel to protect them from being scratched or damaged. You may even keep the box they shipped in as a secure place to put them during storage.
How to Install the Vinyl Sticker Dry-Erase Option: To install, best results are when using a wet application method with squeegee to eliminate any air bubbles. You can find helpful videos on YouTube by searching "wet application vinyl sticker installation".
